FAQ
CLEANSED was created with the idea of just drinking the juices during the three days.
HYDRATION 💧one of the most frequently asked questions i get from a client before starting a cleanse is, “how much water should I drink?” proper hydration is a building block for optimal health + wellness — and it’s essential during a juice cleanse is key for a smooth + nourishing experience.
in general, optimal hydration boosts energy, improves concentration, supports digestion, and helps maintain healthy skin.
CLEANSED PRO TIP: we recommend a minimum of 75oz of per day during your juice cleanse. a bonus if you can reach 100oz. for an extra cleansing effect, add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime, sliced cucumber, strawberries or basil leaves and a pinch of salt to compliment your cleanse.
Hands down, this is one of the top two questions i get asked ALL the time by clients (can you guess what #1 might be? 👀)
CLEANSED PRO TIP: exercising during a juice cleanse is totally possible! however, it's important to adjust your routine based on how you feel + the nutritional intake you're receiving.
here are my top three guidelines on exercising during your juice cleanse:
KEEP IT LIGHT: opt for low-intensity activities like walking, yoga, or stretching. these types of movement will help maintain physical activity without putting too much strain or physical expectation on your body.
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY: pay attention to how you feel. if during your workout you feel lightheaded, weak, or fatigued, it may be best to rest or reduce your activity level.
💧STAY HYDRATED: drink plenty of water (a minimum of 75oz per day!) in addition to your juices to stay hydrated, especially if you're exercising. *you can add a pinch of sea salt to your water for an extra boost!
In short, yes. You can still enjoy coffee during your juice cleanse. However, we prefer you stick to one cup (8oz) of coffee, and avoid any sweeteners, creamers or dairy.
There is no set time as to when you need to have each juice. Your timeframe varies on your personal schedule. Most of our clients find that 10AM, 2PM, 5PM or 8PM works best. We prefer you have your last juice 1-2 hours before you go to bed.
In the days leading up to your cleanse, it’s best to add in more whole foods, more fruits and vegetables.
It’s best to avoid heavy foods like dairy, processed foods and alcohol in the days leading up to your cleanse.
Unless there is a specific goal or health issue you’re working towards, we recommend doing a juice cleanse a minimum of four times a year. It’s nice to do a juice cleanse at the start of each season. If you’re looking for a monthly cleanse, it might be a nice practice to schedule your cleanses in tandem with the moon cycle. Focus on cleansing with each full or new moon, depending on your intentions.
